It’s hard to believe that it’s been one year since Diamond Can was published! As I reflect on this past year, I’m filled with gratitude for the many people who supported and encouraged me along the way. I couldn’t have done it without my family, friends, and the community I’ve built in this digital space.
Diamond Can was written as a love letter to my little sister and all of the other beautiful Black girls around the world who deserve to read books with characters who look like them.
Diamond Can is a children’s book that tells the story of a young girl who discovers the power of perseverance and determination. Through her hard work and positive attitude, Diamond shows that anything is possible if you believe in yourself.
In the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of hearing from many parents, teachers, and children who have enjoyed reading Diamond Can.
